There were 35,293 votes casted during 2008 Constituent Assembly elections in Siraha District, Constituency No. 6. The candidte of MPRF - Raj Kishwor Yadav secured 15,551 (44.06%) votes and secured victory in the election. The runner-up candidate was Fulgen Nayak Saha Sudi of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) who secured 8,113 (22.99%) votes and came in second position.
