Simraungadh is a Municipality, which is located in Bara district, Province No. 2 of Nepal. Simraungadh has total 11 wards, which are scattered across 43 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Simraungadh Municipality had total population of 49,939.

As of 2011, 514 population in Simraungadh Municipality were absent from their households, which equals to 1.03 percent of the total population. Absence of males was 502, which equals to 2.01 percent of total 25,015 males. Same as, 12 females were absent, which equals to 0.05 percent of 23,555 females. At least one member of 410 (5.78 percent) households were absent.

In terms of age, the largest population in Simraungadh Municipality were between 5 and 9 years of age with total 7,843. Gender wise, there were 4,095 males and 3,748 females of the same age group. The least populated age group was above 75 with total 546 population, which consistes of 279 males and 267 females. Top 5 most populated age groups were between 5 and 9 (7,843), between 10 and 14 (6,394), below 4 (5,988), between 15 and 19 (3,956), between 25 and 29 (3,560) with total population of 27,741. The median age-group of total population falls between 35 and 39 and between 40 and 44 with average population of 2,727.

Gender wise, top 5 most age groups male population were between 5 and 9 (4,095), between 10 and 14 (3,326), below 4 (2,938), between 15 and 19 (2,236), and between 25 and 29 (1,751), with total population of 14,346. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were above 75 (279), between 70 and 74 (413), between 65 and 69 (532),between 60 and 64 (667), and between 55 and 59 (709), with total population of 2,600. With regards to female population, top 5 age groups females were between 5 and 9 (3,748), between 10 and 14 (3,068), below 4 (3,050), between 25 and 29 (1,809), and between 15 and 19 (1,720), with total population of 13,395. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were above 75 (267), between 70 and 74 (366), between 65 and 69 (538),between 60 and 64 (577), and between 50 and 54 (697), with total population of 2,445.

The population with age-group 15 to 19 had male to female ratio of 1.30, which states that this age group had maximum males as compared to females. Similarly, age-group 30 to 34 had most female population as compared to male population with male to female ratio of 0.96. The age-groups 15 to 19, 50 to 54, 60 to 64, 40 to 44, 70 to 74, 5 to 9, 10 to 14, 45 to 49, above 75, 20 to 24, 35 to 39 had majority of male population while age-groups 65 to 69, 55 to 59, 25 to 29, below 4, 30 to 34 had majority of female population as per male-female ratios. Moreover, age-groups had eqivalent or almost equal numbers of male and female population with male-female ratios of 1.

There were 51.96 % (25,950 ) of independent population, the working age people between ages of 15 and 64 years. The dependent children, ages below 15 years, were 40.50 % with total number of 20,225. The dependent elderly population, aged 65 and above were 4.80 % with total number of 2,395. As such, total dependent population including children and elderly people were 45.30 with total number of 22,620

There were 10,521 women of child-bearing age-group of 15 to 49 years. Same as, the todlers or children of 4 years or below were 5,988. The ratio of woman of child-bearing age and the number of todlers state that, approximately 569 children were born per 1,000 women. This number is also roughly used as fertility levels when direct measures of births are not available.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 6,624 in Simraungadh Municipality with 3,205 (48.38%) of males and 3,419 (51.62%) females. There were total 29 schools. In average, 228 students were studying in each school.

There were as little as Sunuwar caste with population of as little as 11 in total. Top five castes of people in Simraungadh Municipality are Yadav (8,728), Muslim (8,321), Koiri/Kushwaha (5,456), Kanu (2,454) and Teli (2,357) with total population of 27,316, which forms 54.70 percent out of total population of 49,939 in Simraungadh Municipality.

Out of total population of 48,570, there were total 1,809 (3.72%) disabled persons in Simraungadh Municipality with 1,002 (55.39%) males and 807 (44.61%) females. The physically disabled persons were 418, while mentally disabled people were 105 and intellectually disabled were 32.

Similarly, there were 899 people who were blind and 154 people were deaf, while 31 people were both blind and deaf. Moreover, 106 persons had reported of having speech problems. Total 64 people had multiple disabilities.

Out of total 7093 households in Simraungadh Municipality, there were 3,008 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 1,073 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 125 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 2,289houses were founded on wood.

With respect to wall of the houses, 2,483 houses were mud bonded, 1,236 houses were cement bonded, 120 houses were wood planks bonded, 2,773 houses were bamboo bonded and 172 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 1,333 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 49 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 4,392 houses had roof of tile, 1,017 houses had RCC roofs, 218 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.

With respect to the toilets, 5,840 out of 7,093 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 796 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 403 houses reported having ordinary toilets.

In Simraungadh Municipality, there were total 99 houses, which were equiped with piped tap water resources while 6,812 houses were reported of having tubewell water facilities. Same as, 12 houses had covered well while 55 houses didn't have any cover on their tubewell. Other resources of water facilities were spout water (6) and river stream (1), which were reported of the household's source of water.

With reference to source of fuel, 3,905 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 137 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 41 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (2,742), bio-gas (21), fuel electricity (2), etc.

Same as, total 3,699 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 3,288, while 31 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.52.

out of 7,093 households in Simraungadh Municipality, 757 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 6,266 households reported of using at least one facility. Households using at least one facility, such as radio, television, internet, etc. have been illustrated in the table below.Bicycle was used by the maximum households with total users of 5,654, while MobilePhone was the next mostly used facilities with total household users of 3,489.

According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 875 establishments in Simraungadh Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 1,898 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 1,672 and female engagement of 226 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.17 people engaged with average males are 1.91 and females are 0.26. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 7.40, which means as many as 7.40 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
