The pie-charts for male-female population, child and elderly dependency, and women-child ratios of Kawasoti Municipality, Nawalparasi_E District is based on 2011 population census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) Nepal. As of 2011, Kawasoti Municipality had total population of 62,421 with male 28,616 (45.84%) and female 33,805 (54.16%). Total independent population (male and female between 15 to 65 years of age) were 39,345 (63.03%) while dependent children (below 15 years of age) were 19,637 (31.46%) and elderls (65 years and above) were 3,439 (5.51%). As illustrated in the Chart, total dependent population includes both the children and elderly people who were 23,076 (36.97%). With respect to women and children ratio, total women between age of 15 to 49 years (statistically considered as women of child bearing age) were total 19,286 while children below 5 years of age were 4,839, which is equivalent to 251 children per 1,000 women. This women-child ratio is also considered as fertility ratio when specific fertility related data is not available.
