Rain or thundershowers forecast for today

The weather throughout the country would remain partly cloudy and rain or thundershower is likely to occur due to the effect of the westerly and local winds, the Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department Of Hydrology and Meteorology said.

Meteorologist Manju Basi said that light rain or thundershowers coupled with lightning is likely in most of the places of the western region in the evening.

Likewise, the Division said it is likely to be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country tonight while isolated brief rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at a few places of the hilly region.

Basi said that the westerly winds will remain active in eastern and central hills of the country from Friday. Currently, some parts of the western belt in the country are partly cloudy.

As per the details of the Division, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu was recorded 8.4 degrees Celsius and 26.8 degrees Celsius was the highest temperature.

Likewise, Dhangadhi recorded the highest temperature in the country today with 29.1 degrees Celsius and Jumla had the lowest with -0.5 degrees Celsius.
