Tarun Dal urges government to take measures against artificial shortage of goods

Nepal Tarun Dal, a youth wing close to the Nepali Congress, has called on the government to take up strong measures to prevent artificial shortage of goods in the market.

The Dal, saying signs of shortage of essential goods including daily consumer goods, foodstuff, cooking gas, mask and medicines and their sale on the black market have started to be seen, urged the government’s immediate intervention for its containment.

The Tarun Dal today issued a press statement, expressing its concern over the ‘violation’ of market ethics and drawing the government attention towards its immediate control. Organisation president Jeet Jung Basnet directed Dal’s central committee members and all members to stand against the artificial market shortage and black market.

Moreover, it has called one and all to remain alert to the possibility of coronavirus outbreak and seek preventive measures against the deadly disease which has so far reached a half of the globe following its emergence in Wuhan, China.

It has advised for not shaking hands, instead of greeting with a Namaste and be careful while being in universities and in a mass of people.

It has called for minimising the unnecessary public fear of corona and disseminating only official views and information in regard with the disease.
