In 2017 election of Rohini Rural Municipality (Rupandehi district), candidate Sanoj Kumar Yadav of Snghiy Samajbadi Form Nepal (SanSFN) secured 3,760 (26.97%) votes out of total votes of 13,943 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Tahir Ali Bhat of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) who secured 3,542 (20.01%) of votes. The rest of 6 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 6,641 (23.81) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Shiv Kanti Chamar of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) secured 3,531 (25.55%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Rima Mishra of Snghiy Samajbadi Form Nepal (SanSFN) secured 3,453 (19.90%) of votes and came in second position. Other 6 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 6,834 (24.73) of votes.
As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 206 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 124 (60.19%) males and 82 (39.81%) females. Moreover, there were total 39 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 7 wards. Same as, total 78 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 37 females and 36 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
