Nawalparasi – 2 | 1994 House of Representatives Election Results

There were 45,540 votes casted during 1994 House of Representatives elections in Nawalparasi District, Constituency No. 2. The candidte of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) - Majhi Lal Tharu Thanet secured 21,388 (46.97%) votes and secured victory in the election. The runner-up candidate was Surya Bhakta Adhikari of Nepali Congress Party who secured 18,471 (40.56%) votes and came in second position. The difference in votes of Majhi Lal Tharu Thanet and Surya Bhakta Adhikari was 2,917. All other candidates secured 5,681 (12.47%) votes.

As illustrated in the pie-chart above, the candidates who lost the election secured 24,152 (53.03%) votes as compared to votes secured by elected candidate Majhi Lal Tharu Thanet, which was 21,388 (46.97%) votes.
