Lomanthang Rural Municipality (Mustang) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Lomanthang Rural Municipality (Mustang district), candidate Suvarna Kumar Bista of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 603 (50.00%) votes out of total votes of 1,206 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Indra Dhara Dadu Bista of Independent (Ind) who secured 495 (27.36%) of votes. The rest of 1 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 108 (4.48) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Pema Dolma Bista of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 652 (66.19%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Pasang Dolkar Gurung of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 333 (20.34%) of votes and came in second position. Other 0 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined () of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 40 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 27 (67.50%) males and 13 (32.50%) females. Moreover, there were total 10 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 5 wards. Same as, total 17 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 8 females and females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
