Dhankuta – 1 | 1994 House of Representatives Election Results

There were 31,163 votes casted during 1994 House of Representatives elections in Dhankuta District, Constituency No. 1. The candidte of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) - Rakam Chemjong secured 12,574 (40.35%) votes and secured victory in the election. The runner-up candidate was Mohan Pokharel of Rastriya Prajatantra Party who secured 9,737 (31.25%) votes and came in second position. The difference in votes of Rakam Chemjong and Mohan Pokharel was 2,837. All other candidates secured 8,852 (28.41%) votes.

As illustrated in the pie-chart above, the candidates who lost the election secured 18,589 (59.65%) votes as compared to votes secured by elected candidate Rakam Chemjong, which was 12,574 (40.35%) votes.
