Bishrampur Rural Municipality (Bara) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Bishrampur Rural Municipality (Bara district), candidate Amiri Lal Raut of Nepal Loktantrik Form (NepLF) secured 3,636 (40.03%) votes out of total votes of 9,084 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Julfakar Ali Bhuto of Independent (Ind) who secured 1,512 (11.89%) of votes. The rest of 9 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 3,936 (21.66) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Sumitra Devi of Nepal Loktantrik Form (NepLF) secured 2,314 (30.56%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Madhumaya Yadav of Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RasJPN) secured 1,250 (12.64%) of votes and came in second position. Other 8 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 4,009 (26.47) of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 190 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 117 (61.58%) males and 73 (38.42%) females. Moreover, there were total 41 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 5 wards. Same as, total 67 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 32 females and 29 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
