Bhimphedi Rural Municipality (Makwanpur) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality (Makwanpur district), candidate Hidam Lama of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 3,842 (45.17%) votes out of total votes of 8,505 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Ranjit Kumar Rana of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) who secured 3,698 (29.95%) of votes. The rest of 2 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 965 (5.67) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Parbati Rana of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 3,802 (47.05%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Mom Lal Dong of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 3,435 (28.91%) of votes and came in second position. Other 1 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 843 (5.22) of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 181 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 106 (58.56%) males and 75 (41.44%) females. Moreover, there were total 37 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 9 wards. Same as, total 70 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 36 females and 31 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
