There were 46,399 votes casted during 1994 House of Representatives elections in Bara District, Constituency No. 1. The candidte of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) - Mukunda Neupane secured 17,953 (38.69%) votes and secured victory in the election. The runner-up candidate was Shobhakar Parajuli of Nepali Congress Party who secured 15,552 (33.52%) votes and came in second position.
