Bahudarmai is a Municipality located in Parsa District of Nepal. It has total 9 wards and 32 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 census, it had total population of 39,673.
Wardwise Population and Households
As per 2011 population census, Bahudarmai Municipality had total 39,673 population with 20,734 males and 18,939 females. Out of total wards, ward number 2 had the largest population 6,340, while ward number 8 had least number of population with 6,340.
With respect to number of households, Bahudarmai Municipality had total 5,681 households. The ward number 2 had most households with total 908, while ward number 1 had least number of households with total 474 number of households.
As illustrated in the chart, the ratio of male to female population was 1.09, which indicates that Bahudarmai Municipality had -9 percent lower males as compared to the females. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were above 75 (189), between 70 and 74 (323), between 65 and 69 (446),between 55 and 59 (552), and between 60 and 64 (589), with total population of 2,099. With regards to female population, top 5 age groups females were between 5 and 9 (2,946), below 4 (2,483), between 10 and 14 (2,381), between 20 and 24 (1,557), and between 25 and 29 (1,514), with total population of 10,881. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were above 75 (120), between 70 and 74 (208), between 65 and 69 (398),between 60 and 64 (507), and between 55 and 59 (580), with total population of 1,813.
The population with age-group above 75 had male to female ratio of 1.58, which states that this age group had maximum males as compared to females. Similarly, age-group 55 to 59 had most female population as compared to male population with male to female ratio of 0.95. The age-groups above 75, 70 to 74, 15 to 19, 40 to 44, 60 to 64, 50 to 54, 65 to 69, 45 to 49, 35 to 39, 10 to 14, 5 to 9, below 4, 20 to 24 had majority of male population while age-groups 25 to 29, 30 to 34, 55 to 59 had majority of female population as per male-female ratios. Moreover, age-groups had eqivalent or almost equal numbers of male and female population with male-female ratios of 1.

Population Ratios
There were 55.11 % (21,864 ) of independent population, the working age people between ages of 15 and 64 years. The dependent children, ages below 15 years, were 40.64 % with total number of 16,125. The dependent elderly population, aged 65 and above were 4.24 % with total number of 1,684. Population by Language Spoken
Mostly spoken language in Bahudarmai is Bhojpuri, which is spoken by 38,483 people. The Bahudarmai has people who speak other languages, such as Maithili, Tamang, Doteli, Nepali, etc.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Bahudarmai Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Yadav caste with total population of 6,122. There were as little as Kayastha caste with population of as little as 15 in total. People of several other castes who live in Bahudarmai are Teli, Kurmi, Muslim, Koiri/Kushwaha, Kanu, Chamar/Harijan/Ram, Nuniya, Terai Others, Mallaha, Dhanuk, Hajam/Thakur, Kalwar, Kathbaniyan, Lohar, Yakkha, Dusadh/Pasawan/Pasi, Dhobi, Kumhar, Brahmin - Hill, Tatma/Tatwa, Sonar, Tamang, Kumal, Sanyasi/Dashnami, Dhunia, Brahmin - Tarai, Bin, Baraee, Mali, Damai/Dholi, Kahar, Dom, Rajput, Musahar, Kewat, Kayastha, etc. Only the population of castes with above 1,000 population are illustrated in the table.
Top five castes of people in Bahudarmai Municipality are Yadav (6,122), Teli (4,201), Kurmi (3,453), Muslim (3,426) and Koiri/Kushwaha (3,308) with total population of 20,510, which forms 51.70 percent out of total population of 39,673 in Bahudarmai Municipality.Population by Disability
Similarly, there were 246 people who were blind and 24 people were deaf, while 2 people were both blind and deaf. Moreover, 32 persons had reported of having speech problems. Total 26 people had multiple disabilities.

Household Foundation
With respect to wall of the houses, 36 houses were mud bonded, 1,400 houses were cement bonded, 31 houses were wood planks bonded, 4,130 houses were bamboo bonded and 3 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.
There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 772 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 19 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 3,788 houses had roof of tile, 1,004 houses had RCC roofs, 23 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.
With respect to the toilets, 4,663 out of 5,681 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 520 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 425 houses reported having ordinary toilets.
Utilities
With reference to source of fuel, 5,236 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 32 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 9 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (327), bio-gas (2), fuel electricity (1), etc.
Same as, total 4,988 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 596, while 21 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.88.
Facilities
Economic Census
According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 686 establishments in Bahudarmai Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 2,010 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 1,474 and female engagement of 536 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.93 people engaged with average males are 2.15 and females are 0.78. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 2.75, which means as many as 2.75 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
Similarly, the engagement of males were 73.33 percent while the females are 26.67 percent.
