Dudhpokhari is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Lamjung district, Gandaki Province of Nepal. Dudhpokhari has total 6 wards, which are scattered across 155 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Dudhpokhari Rural Municipality had total population of 10,975.

Wardwise Population and Households

As per 2011 population census, Dudhpokhari Rural Municipality had total 10,975 population with 5,020 males and 5,955 females. Out of total wards, ward number 6 had the largest population 2,657, while ward number 3 had least number of population with 2,657.

Gender wise, top 5 most age groups male population were between 10 and 14 (640), between 15 and 19 (623), between 5 and 9 (518), below 4 (464), and between 20 and 24 (307), with total population of 2,552. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were between 30 and 34 (175), between 65 and 69 (181), between 35 and 39 (185),between 70 and 74 (201), and between 40 and 44 (216), with total population of 958. With regards to female population, top 5 age groups females were between 10 and 14 (676), between 15 and 19 (633), between 5 and 9 (518), between 20 and 24 (507), and below 4 (460), with total population of 2,794. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were between 70 and 74 (176), between 65 and 69 (192), above 75 (249),between 55 and 59 (254), and between 60 and 64 (284), with total population of 1,155.

The population with age-group 70 to 74 had male to female ratio of 1.14, which states that this age group had maximum males as compared to females. Similarly, age-group 30 to 34 had most female population as compared to male population with male to female ratio of 0.55. The age-groups 70 to 74, above 75, 55 to 59, below 4 had majority of male population while age-groups 15 to 19, 10 to 14, 65 to 69, 50 to 54, 60 to 64, 40 to 44, 45 to 49, 20 to 24, 35 to 39, 25 to 29, 30 to 34 had majority of female population as per male-female ratios. Moreover, age-groups 5 to 9 had eqivalent or almost equal numbers of male and female population with male-female ratios of 1.

There were 58.58 % (6,429 ) of independent population, the working age people between ages of 15 and 64 years. The dependent children, ages below 15 years, were 29.85 % with total number of 3,276. The dependent elderly population, aged 65 and above were 11.57 % with total number of 1,270. As such, total dependent population including children and elderly people were 41.42 with total number of 4,546

There were 2,825 women of child-bearing age-group of 15 to 49 years. Same as, the todlers or children of 4 years or below were 924. The ratio of woman of child-bearing age and the number of todlers state that, approximately 327 children were born per 1,000 women. This number is also roughly used as fertility levels when direct measures of births are not available.

Grade 1-12 Students & Schools

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 2,910 in Dudhpokhari Rural Municipality with 1,383 (47.53%) of males and 1,527 (52.47%) females. There were total 35 schools. In average, 83 students were studying in each school.

According to 2011 census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Dudhpokhari Rural Municipality was inhabitted by mostly the people of Gurung caste with total population of 6,613. There were as little as Rai caste with population of as little as 19 in total. Out of total 2590 households in Dudhpokhari Rural Municipality, there were 2,535 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 4 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 0 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 41houses were founded on wood.

There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 376 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 1,037 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 1,126 houses had roof of tile, 2 houses had RCC roofs, 43 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.

With respect to the toilets, 1,111 out of 2,590 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 935 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 542 houses reported having ordinary toilets.

Utilities

In Dudhpokhari Rural Municipality, there were total 2,333 houses, which were equiped with piped tap water resources while 2 houses were reported of having tubewell water facilities. Same as, 15 houses had covered well while 54 houses didn't have any cover on their tubewell. With reference to source of fuel, 2,507 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 9 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 14 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (1), bio-gas (53), fuel electricity (4), etc.

Same as, total 1,500 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 655, while 427 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.58.

Facilities

out of 2,590 households in Dudhpokhari Rural Municipality, 432 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 2,118 households reported of using at least one facility.
