Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality (Rukum_E) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality (Rukum_E district), candidate Om Prakash Gharti of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) secured 2,551 (51.10%) votes out of total votes of 4,992 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Bhiuman Gharti of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) who secured 1,263 (16.74%) of votes. The rest of 3 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 1,178 (11.80) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Om Kumari Shahi (malla) of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) secured 2,635 (53.61%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Sita Ghatane of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 1,481 (19.62%) of votes and came in second position. Other 1 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 799 (8.13) of votes.
As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 192 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 115 (59.90%) males and 77 (40.10%) females. Moreover, there were total 39 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 14 wards. Same as, total 74 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 37 females and 34 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
