There were 39,150 votes casted during 1994 House of Representatives elections in Khotang District, Constituency No. 1. The candidte of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) - Tanka Rai secured 14,737 (37.64%) votes and secured victory in the election.
