Sex, Dependency & Women-Child Ratio Chart of Sunwal Municipality, Nawalparasi_W District (2011 Census)

The pie-charts for male-female population, child and elderly dependency, and women-child ratios of Sunwal Municipality, Nawalparasi_W District is based on 2011 population census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) Nepal. As of 2011, Sunwal Municipality had total population of 55,424 with male 25,585 (46.16%) and female 30,205 (54.50%). Total independent population (male and female between 15 to 65 years of age) were 34,868 (62.91%) while dependent children (below 15 years of age) were 17,860 (32.22%) and elderls (65 years and above) were 3,062 (5.52%). As illustrated in the Chart, total dependent population includes both the children and elderly people who were 20,922 (37.75%). With respect to women and children ratio, total women between age of 15 to 49 years (statistically considered as women of child bearing age) were total 17,086 while children below 5 years of age were 4,515, which is equivalent to 264 children per 1,000 women. This women-child ratio is also considered as fertility ratio when specific fertility related data is not available.
