Sex, Dependency & Women-Child Ratio Chart of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City, Banke District (2011 Census)

The pie-charts for male-female population, child and elderly dependency, and women-child ratios of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City, Banke District is based on 2011 population census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) Nepal. As of 2011, Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City had total population of 138,951 with male 70,877 (51.01%) and female 68,074 (48.99%). Total independent population (male and female between 15 to 65 years of age) were 86,876 (62.52%) while dependent children (below 15 years of age) were 47,089 (33.89%) and elderls (65 years and above) were 4,986 (3.59%). As illustrated in the Chart, total dependent population includes both the children and elderly people who were 52,075 (37.48%). With respect to women and children ratio, total women between age of 15 to 49 years (statistically considered as women of child bearing age) were total 37,780 while children below 5 years of age were 12,986, which is equivalent to 344 children per 1,000 women. This women-child ratio is also considered as fertility ratio when specific fertility related data is not available.
