Sex, Dependency & Women-Child Ratio Chart of Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City, Dhanusa District (2011 Census)

The pie-charts for male-female population, child and elderly dependency, and women-child ratios of Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City, Dhanusa District is based on 2011 population census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) Nepal. As of 2011, Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City had total population of 159 with male 84,276 (53,003.77%) and female 77,896 (48,991.19%). Total independent population (male and female between 15 to 65 years of age) were 100,619 (63,282.39%) while dependent children (below 15 years of age) were 55,483 (34,894.97%) and elderls (65 years and above) were 6,070 (3,817.61%). As illustrated in the Chart, total dependent population includes both the children and elderly people who were 61,553 (38,712.58%). With respect to women and children ratio, total women between age of 15 to 49 years (statistically considered as women of child bearing age) were total 42,023 while children below 5 years of age were 14,098, which is equivalent to 335 children per 1,000 women. This women-child ratio is also considered as fertility ratio when specific fertility related data is not available.
