Sex, Dependency & Women-Child Ratio Chart of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City, Sunsari District (2011 Census)

The pie-charts for male-female population, child and elderly dependency, and women-child ratios of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City, Sunsari District is based on 2011 population census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) Nepal. As of 2011, Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City had total population of 140,517 with male 66,566 (47.37%) and female 73,951 (52.63%). Total independent population (male and female between 15 to 65 years of age) were 91,938 (65.43%) while dependent children (below 15 years of age) were 41,879 (29.80%) and elderls (65 years and above) were 6,700 (4.77%). As illustrated in the Chart, total dependent population includes both the children and elderly people who were 48,579 (34.57%). With respect to women and children ratio, total women between age of 15 to 49 years (statistically considered as women of child bearing age) were total 43,670 while children below 5 years of age were 11,108, which is equivalent to 254 children per 1,000 women. This women-child ratio is also considered as fertility ratio when specific fertility related data is not available.
