Sex, Dependency & Women-Child Ratio Chart of Gulariya Municipality, Bardiya District (2011 Census)

The pie-charts for male-female population, child and elderly dependency, and women-child ratios of Gulariya Municipality, Bardiya District is based on 2011 population census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) Nepal. As of 2011, Gulariya Municipality had total population of 66,679 with male 33,427 (50.13%) and female 33,252 (49.87%). Total independent population (male and female between 15 to 65 years of age) were 39,388 (59.07%) while dependent children (below 15 years of age) were 24,379 (36.56%) and elderls (65 years and above) were 2,912 (4.37%). As illustrated in the Chart, total dependent population includes both the children and elderly people who were 27,291 (40.93%). With respect to women and children ratio, total women between age of 15 to 49 years (statistically considered as women of child bearing age) were total 17,400 while children below 5 years of age were 6,432, which is equivalent to 370 children per 1,000 women. This women-child ratio is also considered as fertility ratio when specific fertility related data is not available.
