Sex, Dependency & Women-Child Ratio Chart of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City, Rupandehi District (2011 Census)

The pie-charts for male-female population, child and elderly dependency, and women-child ratios of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City, Rupandehi District is based on 2011 population census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) Nepal. As of 2011, Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City had total population of 138,742 with male 68,288 (49.22%) and female 70,454 (50.78%). Total independent population (male and female between 15 to 65 years of age) were 93,184 (67.16%) while dependent children (below 15 years of age) were 40,177 (28.96%) and elderls (65 years and above) were 5,381 (3.88%). As illustrated in the Chart, total dependent population includes both the children and elderly people who were 45,558 (32.84%). With respect to women and children ratio, total women between age of 15 to 49 years (statistically considered as women of child bearing age) were total 43,001 while children below 5 years of age were 10,012, which is equivalent to 233 children per 1,000 women. This women-child ratio is also considered as fertility ratio when specific fertility related data is not available.
