Sex, Dependency & Women-Child Ratio Chart of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Chitwan District (2011 Census)

The pie-charts for male-female population, child and elderly dependency, and women-child ratios of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Chitwan District is based on 2011 population census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) Nepal. As of 2011, Bharatpur Metropolitan City had total population of 280,502 with male 134,001 (47.77%) and female 146,501 (52.23%). Total independent population (male and female between 15 to 65 years of age) were 184,871 (65.91%) while dependent children (below 15 years of age) were 79,149 (28.22%) and elderls (65 years and above) were 16,482 (5.88%). As illustrated in the Chart, total dependent population includes both the children and elderly people who were 95,631 (34.09%). With respect to women and children ratio, total women between age of 15 to 49 years (statistically considered as women of child bearing age) were total 86,066 while children below 5 years of age were 19,397, which is equivalent to 225 children per 1,000 women. This women-child ratio is also considered as fertility ratio when specific fertility related data is not available.
