Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City, Sunsari District had total population of 137,705 and total area of 192 square kilometers as per 2011 population census conducted by Central Bureau of statistics (CBS), Nepal. There are 20 wards at present. The population pyramid has been created for male and female population based on five-year age gap. The pyramid is free to reuse or redistribute for governmental, research, educational or other non-profit purpose, but proper citation is required.
