Police estimated that the total damage caused by the fire is equal to Rs 4.2 million.<\/p>\n<p>According to police, the blaze broke out from the house of local Rambabu Mahato at Atrauli Chowk at Hariwan-2. Three other houses including a two-storied house of Mahato were gutted.<\/p>\n<p>Police shared that Mahato suffered the loss of Rs 2 million while his son Rajkishor lost properties worth Rs 500,000 after his one-storied house was destroyed in the fire.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, Lalbabu Mahato\u2019s house was also gutted with damage of properties equal to Rs 1.5 million while neighbouring Ramjanam Hata\u2019s house was partially damaged in the fire, the District Police Office said.  The fire was brought under control by the police personnel with support from the locals.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, three thatched-houses were destroyed at Dhankhaul Rural Municipality as the fire broke out from a fire made to ward off mosquitoes. The police said the houses of Ram Prasad Raya, Jadu Raya and Kailash Raya were burnt in the blaze on Friday night.
