Indian Minister for Defence Rajnath Singh is likely to make an official visit to Nepal at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Ishwor Pokharel.<\/p>\n
India’s new ambassador to Nepal Vinay Mohan Kwatra informed DPM Pokharel while the former paid a courtesy call here today. During the courtesy meeting, DPM Pokharel recalled extending invitation to Indian Defence Minister Singh last week and expressed his confidence over the prospect of Singh’s visit to Nepal.<\/p>\n
Indian ambassador Kwatra extended his gratitude for the invitation extended to the India’s Defence Minister for Nepal visit and pledged to facilitate on his part for the same, according to the Spokesperson at the Ministry of Defence Santa Bahadur Sunar.<\/p>\n
DPM Pokharel, at the onset of the meeting, said that Nepal and India share cordial and friendly ties and bonding at cultural, geographical, historical and people-to-people level. He also underscored the need to further strengthen the multidimensional ties between the two countries and make it in tune with the changing times.<\/p>\n
Stating that the military ties between Nepal and India were also very good and cooperative, the DPM extended his gratitude for the support of India for the socio-economic development endeavors of Nepal.<\/p>\n
The Indian envoy also said that India and Nepal shared a strong bond from government to government and at people to people level. He pledged to be effortful to make friendly and cordial Indo-Nepal ties further stronger during his tenure.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
