{"id":2725,"date":"2020-02-17T17:08:00","date_gmt":"2020-02-17T11:23:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nepalarchives.com\/news\/2020\/02\/17\/un-representative-labe-calls-on-speaker-sapkota\/"},"modified":"2020-02-17T17:08:00","modified_gmt":"2020-02-17T11:23:00","slug":"un-representative-labe-calls-on-speaker-sapkota","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nepalarchives.com\/news\/2020\/02\/17\/un-representative-labe-calls-on-speaker-sapkota\/","title":{"rendered":"UN representative Labe calls on Speaker Sapkota"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>United Nations Development Programme&#8217;s residential representative Ayshanie Medagangoda Labe today paid a courtesy call on House of Representatives Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting that took place at the Speaker&#8217;s office, the UN representative congratulated Sapkota on his election to the Speaker&#8217;s post, wishing him a successful tenure, said the Speaker&#8217;s Secretariat.<\/p>\n<p>Speaker Sapkota recalling Nepal&#8217;s long cooperation with the UN since it became its member in 1955 thanked UN support to Nepal&#8217;s Constituent Assembly election for the Federal Parliament.<\/p>\n<p>Stating that Nepal is receiving multi-dimensional assistance from the UN, he hoped for its continuous support in the days to come as well.<\/p>\n<p>The UNDP representative apprised the Speaker of UN&#8217;s cooperation in 26 sectors, promising its continuous support in the future as well.
