Tumbahangphe, who served as the deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, was appointed to the post of minister earlier today.<\/p>\n<p>Tumbahangphe had resigned from the post of deputy speaker last month to pave a way for the election of the Speaker of the House.<\/p>\n<p>The newly-appointed minister was elected the parliamentarian of the lower house from the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) under the proportional electoral system.<\/p>\n<p>During the swearing-in ceremony, the Vice President, the Prime Minister, the Speaker, the Chairman of the National Assembly and ministers, among others were present.<\/p>\n<p>With its formation two years ago, the KP Sharma Oli-led government has been reshuffled eight times so far.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to this, Minister for Health and Population Bhanubhakta Dhakal was assuming the post of Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs as well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Bidya Devi Bhandari today administered oath of office and secrecy to newly-appointed Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dr Shivamaya Tumbahangphe.
