{"id":2717,"date":"2020-02-18T08:02:00","date_gmt":"2020-02-18T02:17:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nepalarchives.com\/news\/2020\/02\/18\/european-countries'-ambassadors-and-un-delegates-call-on-speaker-sapkota\/"},"modified":"2020-02-18T08:02:00","modified_gmt":"2020-02-18T02:17:00","slug":"european-countries-ambassadors-and-un-delegates-call-on-speaker-sapkota","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nepalarchives.com\/news\/2020\/02\/18\/european-countries-ambassadors-and-un-delegates-call-on-speaker-sapkota\/","title":{"rendered":"European countries&#8217; ambassadors and UN delegates call on Speaker Sapkota"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ambassadors of European countries have intensified their meetings with Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Agni Prasad Sapkota.<\/p>\n<p>Norwegian Ambassador to Nepal Lasse Bj\u00f8rn Johannessen paid a courtesy call on Sapkota on Monday and extended congratulations and best wishes to the later for successful tenure, shared Speaker&#8217;s press adviser Shreedhar Neupane.<\/p>\n<p>During the meet, the Ambassador pledged to continue its support to Nepal&#8217;s economic and social sectors.<\/p>\n<p>On the same day, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)&#8217;s residential representative Ayshanie Medagangoda Labe also called on Sapkota and congratulated him on assuming the responsibility of the Speaker.<\/p>\n<p>The UN representative shared that the UN has been carrying out diverse works in 26 different areas and expressed commitment to continue its support in coming days.<\/p>\n<p>Non Resident Ambassador of Czech Republic Milan Hovorka also called on Spadker Sapkota and wished for his successful term.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, ambassadors from China, India and Japan haved already expressed congratulations to Sapkota.
