{"id":2594,"date":"2020-02-22T13:22:00","date_gmt":"2020-02-22T07:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nepalarchives.com\/news\/2020\/02\/22\/state-level-martial-art-festival-kicked-off\/"},"modified":"2020-02-22T13:22:00","modified_gmt":"2020-02-22T07:37:00","slug":"state-level-martial-art-festival-kicked-off","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nepalarchives.com\/news\/2020\/02\/22\/state-level-martial-art-festival-kicked-off\/","title":{"rendered":"State level martial art festival kicked off"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The State 1-level martial arts festival has commenced at the Tiger Playground at local Katari Bazaar here today.<\/p>\n<p>Around 600 players from 14 districts in State 1are participating in the event which will run till February 29, coordinator of the organising main committee Deepak Tamang said.<\/p>\n<p>The festival organised by Katari Municipality will feature competitions in shiterio karate, taek-won-do and wushu departments. Martial art players of various battalions of the Nepal Army in the State 1 will also participate in the competitions.<\/p>\n<p>The players will be vying for 14 gold medals and 28 silver and bronze medals towards wushu, 12 gold and 24 silver and bronze medals towards taek-won-do and 12 gold medals and 24 silver and bronze medals towards wushu.<\/p>\n<p>Katari municipality&#8217;s mayor Gyanendra Shrestha said the martial art festival has been organised to develop tourism in Katari through sports.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The State 1-level martial arts festival has commenced at the Tiger Playground at local Katari Bazaar here today.
