Various stakeholders have drawn concern over the withered implementation of Safe Motherhood and Reproductive Health Right Act-2075 due to delay in introducing its regulation.<\/p>\n
At a programme organized by Forum for Women, Law and Development on Thursday, it was shared that the constitutionally-enshrined obligation of formulating law within three years of its proclamation has not been implemented in absence of regulation.<\/p>\n
The Act was endorsed by both the parliaments (House of Representatives and National Assembly) on 18 September 2018.<\/p>\n
On the occasion, Minster of State for Health and Population Nawaraj Raut pledged to take initiative to clear decks in the formulation of regulation.<\/p>\n
He claimed that the government has framed several laws required for the implementation of the constitution.<\/p>\n
Director for Department of Health Service, Family Welfare Section Dr Bhim Singh Tingkari shared that the regulation was being drafted.<\/p>\n
FWLD;s executive director Sabin Shrestha said citizens are deprived of fundamental right to accessing health service for not promulgating the regulation.<\/p>\n
