Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Giriraj Mani Pokhrel, has said community schools must be strengthened.<\/p>\n
At a seminar on ‘community school reform’ organized by Gaushala municipality here today, Minister Pokhrel viewed time has come to link education to skills and contribute to the national development.<\/p>\n
"Education limiting to certificate does not bear success, it must be able to produce globally competitive human resources. For it to happen, education must be scientific and technical," he stressed.<\/p>\n
According to him, such seminar would be held at all 753 local levels. The suggestions garnered from the seminar would be useful to bring reform in the current education system.<\/p>\n
In another context, the Minister urged the teachers must remain away from politics. However, the role they played on different times must not be belittled, Pokhrel reminded.<\/p>\n
On the occasion, Chief of District Education and Coordination Unit Committee, Shatrughna Prasad Yadav, said reform in school education would help achieve prosperity.<\/p>\n
