On the occasion, he laid a wreath on the statues of the martyrs of Madhes movement including Ramesh Mahato.<\/p>\n<p>Siraha was the provenance of Madhes movement. State 2 Economic Affairs Minister Bijay Yadav and other leaders were also present at the programme.<\/p>\n<p>The Socialist Party and Rastriya Janata Party observe Magh 5 every year as the Sacrifice Day in commemoration of the deaths of people including Mahato in the Madhes movement.<\/p>\n<p>The State 2 government has announced a public holiday in the State.
