RPP calls government attention on COVID-19 prevention

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has urged the government to pay attention to the implementation of coronavirus control and sensitisation campaign.

Stating that the initiatives taken and works carried out so far by the government to prevent COVID-19 were the right ones, RPP has called for improvements in the government’s managerial efficiency and working style.

In a press release on Tuesday, RPP stated that it has taken the government’s decision to extend the lockdown period positively while requesting all Nepalis to make the lockdown successful in a more disciplined and dignified way.

The party has also called on the government to delegate additional and clear-cut responsibilities to the State and local level governments regarding controlling COVID-19 and in relief distribution by providing them with the necessary resources. It also demanded expanding the coronavirus testing laboratories and mobilising the necessary medical lab technicians at the earliest to stop the situation from going out of control and becoming explosive. RPP also urged the government to keep especially the Sudur Paschim (far-west) State in high priority in this connection.
