Yeti Group contributes Rs 10 million for COVID-19 prevention

The Yeti Group has donated Rs 10 million to the Fund set up by the government for the prevention and control of COVID-19 and the treatment of the infected.

In a statement released by the Yeti Group here today, it was shared that a cheque bearing the amount was donated by the Yeti Group’s Chairperson Lakpa Sonam Sherpa to the fund. “It is the duty of professionals like us to support the government’s initiative for prevention and control of COVID-19 as well as the treatment of the infected ones at the time when this pandemic is taking a toll worldwide and in our country,” reads the statement.

The amount was donated by the investors of the Yeti Group, according to the statement. The private enterprise also pledged to continue with such kind of support in future. “We are with the country and people at the time when the country’s economy was declining due to pandemic. We are hopeful that our small contribution would be fruitful in the government’s campaign against COVID-19,” reads the statement.
