Govt effortful to introduce e- learning system

Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel has said that students should be made habitual to an e-learning system to continue study while coping up with the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Saying that e-learning is useful for Nepal’s whole education sector, Minister Pokharel argued that it should however be made more systematic.

He was of the view that Nepal government was making plan for the distance learning or online education before the pandemic. Online classes should be made more interactive, the Minister underscored.

“We have formed a committee to study the impacts of coronavirus on education. Based on the conclusion of the committee’s study, future course of education will be confirmed,” Minister Pokharel shared.

He was speaking at an international virtual conference organised by a Kathmandu-based private college.
