The Art of Living, Nepal Chapter distributes food to 4,000 families

The Art of Living, Nepal Chapter has distributed foodstuffs to four thousand needy families in various places of Kathmandu.

Chapter president Siddheshwor Kumar Singh said various philanthropists and businessmen had provided the foodstuffs to the Chapter for distribution to the needy families. The foodstuffs included rice grain, lentils, beaten rice, cooking oil, salt and noodles. Soap was also distributed to these families.

Coordinator for the Chapter’s foodstuff distribution wing, Bimal Kedia said food materials were provided to the blind, handicapped and the poor families during the difficult time of lockdown.

The Chapter distributed 20 thousand kilogrammes rice grain, six thousand kilogrammes lentils, eight thousand kilogrammes beaten rice, 4,000 litres cooking oil, 4,000 kilogrammes salt and 40 thousand packets of noodles to the needy families and people living in Narayantar, Kapan, Nakhipot and Godavari, through coordination with the local levels of these areas.

The Chapter is distributing foodstuffs to 500 families in Surya Binayak Municipality of Bhaktapur today.

The Art of Living is a spiritual foundation set up by Shree Shree Ravishanker and it has been conducting talks and teaching meditation, yoga and spiritualism.
