COVID-19 won’t go pandemic in Nepal, CM Poudel says

Chief Minister of Bagmati State Dormani Poudel has said that a foundation has been prepared to stop coronavirus from taking a pandemic proportion in Nepal.

Issuing a message today, he said that the COVID-19 would not take the form of pandemic thanks to the matured, far-sighted and effective steps taken by the KP Sharma Oli-led government, proactive measures of the local and state governments and virtuous role of the general public. “However, the terror of the pandemic is still on due to the coronavirus that is terrorizing the whole world. But the government is prepared with its all-out efforts,” Poudel added.

In his statement, the Chief Minister has recalled the government initiatives taken for specimen tests in different states and establishment of labs in the capital city and beyond.

Saying that the government was working to screen more and more people, Poudel has urged the people to abide by the lockdown order issued by the government.
