State-2 establishes relief fund of Rs 250 m

The State-2 government has established COVID-19 relief and preventive fund of Rs 250 million. The Cabinet meeting of the State today took this decision.

According to spokesperson of the government Gyanendra Kumar Yadav, all the Ministers of State government will contribute their one month salary to the fund. The meeting has further urged all well-wishers and helping hands and businessmen to raise the fund.

The meeting has also formed a high level directive committee under the chair of Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut to adopt necessary policy measures to control the COID-19 outbreak.

Likewise, a special executive committee has been formed under the chair of acting chief secretary of the State Narayan Dawadi. The committee comprising all secretaries of the Ministries is assigned to prepare necessary logistic arrangements to keep the coronavirus infection at bay.

The meeting has also decided to set up labs for testing COVID-19 in Janakpur, Birgunj and Rajbiraj hospitals. The meeting has further decided to make effective coordination with local levels to reach out reliefs to the needy people in the State-2.
