Government to implement NC’s recommendations

The government is to implement the recommendations provided by main opposition party Nepali Congress for the prevention, risk mitigation and treatment of COVID-19 infection.

Nepali Congress parliamentary party office on Friday had handed a memorandum to coordinator of High-Level Coordination Committee for the Prevention and Control of Novel Coronavirus Deputy Prime Minister Iswar Pokharel for the virus control, risk mitigation and treatment.

The recommendations received from Nepali Congress are useful and relevant and the support and cooperation from the main opposition party has boosted additional energy and confidence of the government to tackle the pandemic, NC chief whip Balkrishna Khand quoted DPM Pokharel as saying.

While receiving the memo, DPM Pokharel also shared that medical equipment, testing kits and personal protective equipment required for the treatment would be imported to Nepal on Sunday and the assistance materials would be promptly distributed to all seven states.
