COVID-19: All transit points except two in Siraha shut down

All transit points Siraha district share with India except two have been shut down this morning over the coronavirus menace. All transits except Mad and Madi have been closed in view of people’s influx to Nepal from India and increasing risks of the infection, said Chief District Officer Saroj Guragain.

These open two transits could also be shut anytime if situations get worse and security has been stepped up at these transits and two health desks each have been set up, he said.

Similarly, five-bed isolation ward each at the district hospital, R.K. Medicity Hospital at Dhangadhimai municipality and Ful Kumari Mahato Memorial Hospital at Karjanha municipality, said the District Health Office Chief, Krishna Dev Yadav.
