Govt. takes responsibility for citizens’ health: CM Rai

Chief Minister of State-1 Sherdhan Rai reassured that the State Government will take responsibility for the health of citizens in the state.

The CM said so while inaugurating 200-bed quarantine set up in total 100 tents by the State -1 government and Suryadal Battalion of Nepal Army at Miklajung Rural Municipality-4 in Morang district on Sunday.

CM Rai also pledged to provide free medical treatment to those from State-1 reported with COVID-19. Furthermore, he shared that surveillance would be stepped up for the movement of people in the border points in the State to prevent COVID-19.

According to him, construction of a 50-bed isolation ward in State -1 had been accelerated so as to prepare it within a week. Citizens from the third countries would be barred from entering Nepal via border points in the State, he said.

The government would render free treatment to anyone detected with COVID-19 at the designated quarantines.

On the occasion, Suryadal Battalion’s Lieutenant Colonel Raghu Poudel assured that those quarantined in the makeshift quarantine would be provided free healthcare services.
