Quarantine management guidelines, 2076 endorsed

The government has endorsed the Quarantine Management Standard, 2076.The standard introduced in wake of the spread of the COVID-19 was approved by the high-level committee led by the Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister.

The standard includes details relating the individuals to be kept under quarantine, the methodology to be followed, infrastructure and the doctors and other services as well as security measures in such facility, according to the government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada.

Speaking at a press meet on Monday, he also shared that a dedicated isolated hospital of Armed Police force in Balambu would be brought into service for treatment related to COVID-19. Under the leadership of the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police and government as well as community and private medical staff and personnel will be mobilized in the hospital.
