Students organisations to spread awareness against COVID-19

The students organisations have decided to work together to spread awareness against the Coronavirus or COVID-19. A meeting of the Joint Students Association today decided to work through their respective committees to not allow the Coronavirus infection spread in the country.

The meeting also decided to urge the government to make necessary preparedness for treatment in case of an infection break out. High health alertness should be observed in the examination centres, considering the Secondary Education Examinations (SEE) that begins from Thursday, according to ANNFSU leader RC Lamichhane.

The students association will also check black marketing through market monitoring and has demanded that the private schools not charge tuition fee for the month of Chaitra, when schools remain closed.

NSU General Secretary Dipak Bhattarai said the students decided to come together in view of the lessons learnt in the past calamities. Also present in the meeting were representatives of Nepal Students Association, ANNFSU, National Students Union, ANNFSU (Sixth) and Socialist Students Union.
