Nepalis in South Korea safe from COVID-19

The number of foreign nationals infected with COVID-19 has crossed 60, according to information provided by the Korean government. No Nepali national figures in this.

The highest number of the infected includes Chinese nationals. Thirty eight Chinese living in South Korea have coronavirus infection followed by seven Americans. Similarly, two Vietnamese, two Mongolians, two Thais, two Australians and two Argentines are infected by COVID-19.

"So far no Nepali living in South Korea has been infected by COVID-19," said Dilliram Bastola, labour attache at the Embassy of Nepal in South Korea.

Seventy five people have succumbed to COVID-19 in South Korea and 8,162 people are infected by the pandemic.
