Ministry appoints focal person in each State to coordinate with local levels

The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has designated a focal person in each State to coordinate and facilitate with the local levels.

Ministry’s Local and Coordination Section Chief Baburam Adhikari said, the government’s under-secretary has been deputed as the focal person in each state who will play a coordinating role in creating awareness against the coronavirus (COVID-19), in its prevention and containment and addressing issues facing the local levels.

Those appointed are Prahlad Kumar Karki ( State 1), Rhishiraj Acharya ( State 2), Mahendra Kumar Sapkota ( Bagmati), Baburam Bhusal ( Gandaki), Dilaram Panthi (State 5), Ram Prasad Wagle (Karnali), and Reshamlal Kandel ( Far West).

The focal person will take charge of the entire responsibility for facilitating complaints and grievances received from the local levels, will be responsible for facilitating to take necessary decision on the issues requested by the local level on the basis of provided details, for reviewing the progress details in every 15 days, for submitting the report to secretary, for preparing and sending details to the respective council if there is any issue that needs facilitation or to be decided by the State Coordination Council or Inter State Council and for visiting or making arrangements for visit to the local level as per the necessity.

Similarly, the focal person will coordinate with local level chief administrative officer for the prevention and containment of COVID-19, will collect COVID-19 medical check details from local level, and will collect information if it is related to the disease and send the collected details to the Ministry.
