Former minsiter Thapa draws govt attention on Covid-19 control

Nepali Congress leader and former minister for health Gagan Kumar Thapa has suggested govenrment taking effective measures to control global pandemic- covid-19 in the country. He drew the attention of Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Ishwor Pokhrel who is also heading the high level coordination committee on Covid-19 control.

He suggested him banning everyone’s travel to Nepal via air route or compulsorily keep all those entering Nepal via plane to quarantine and allow entry only after adequate health check up. Arrangement of safe travel of such persons from aiport to ther destinations, mobilization of health workers at local levels to urge people for self-quarantine, closure of all border points except essential ones, and 24 hours health check up with arrangement of human resources, ambulance and safety are the suggestions Thapa furnished to DPM Pokhrel.
