The Bharatmohan Adhikari Memorial Foundation has provided face masks and hand sanitisers to two elderly homes in the capital city in its support against the Covid-19.
The Foundation so far distributed face masks, hand sanitisers and soaps to as many as 50 senior citizens residing in Sewa Sadan Elderly Residential Home at Shantinagar and Dibya Sewa Niketan Elderly Home at Budhanilkantha, according to Foundation’s executive committee member Leela Adhikari. The Foundation is preparing to distribute face masks, hand sanitisers and soaps at all the elderly homes of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts.
Adhikari said the Foundation’s attention was towards the elderly homes at a time when the reports of elderly people being infected and their deaths were released after the Covid-19 infection. The Foundation also shared its volunteers’ teams comprised the specialists recognized by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Established in the name of former Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister late Bharatmohan Adhikari, the Foundation is active in the social sectors.
