NC President Deuba expresses sorrow over Sherma’s demise

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed sorrow over the demise of party central committee member and former Minister Purna Kumar Sherma.

Sherma died in course of treatment at Lalitpur based Nidan hospital on Wednesday. He was undergoing treatment for kidney problem. He was 76.

In a message issued today, President Deuba has extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. The Press statement reads that with the demise of Sherma, NC has lost an honest democratic fighter.

He was the NC Panchthar president for two terms. According to NC chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel, Sherma’s dead body will be kept at the party office Sanepa from 9am to 11 am on Friday for paying of last tributes. His last rites would be conducted on Friday itself.
