Coronavirus fear halts Janakpur-Patna bus service

The bus service to Patna, the capital of Bihar State, India from Janakpur, the capital of State 2, has come to a halt from today amid a fear of coronavirus.

The District Police Office, Mahottari confirmed the suspension of operation of Nepal-India friendship bus service from Janakpur to Patna and vice-versa due to an outbreak of the COVID-19 in the neighboring India.

It may be noted that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi had jointly inaugurated the Janakpur-Patna Nepal-India Friendship Bus Service two years ago. The service is daily.
